Coco Scene! Posh ends The Spice Girls tour to pursue Fashion

LATEST: VICTORIA BECKHAM has been blamed for the cancellation of the last leg of the SPICE GIRLS' reunion tour - because the singer has decided to retire from the music industry.
The British pop star was apprehensive about embarking on the comeback tour and only agreed to it so her young sons Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, five, and Cruz, two, could see her onstage.
She says, "I was very nervous about going back into the Spice Girls because I didn't want to send out a confused message. The reason I decided to do the tour was to show my kids that mummy was a pop star once." And she admits the reason why she is quitting the band after their final show in Toronto, Canada later this month (Feb08) is to pursue her career as a fashion designer.
Beckham adds, "I've been thinking about this for a long time. I'm not in the music industry any more. I'm in the fashion industry. I'm putting together a team of people now so it will be my main project when I finish this tour in a month." The fashion icon insists she has no regrets about her time in the Spice Girls or reuniting with her bandmates for the world tour, but she'll always "cringe" at her pop star looks and some of the outfits she had to wear.
She explains, "I like to think it was all good at the time. But I'll look at the pictures and think, 'My God, look at all that bloody make-up!' or 'Look at that hair!' So I'll cringe a little bit.
"I realise that made me who I am now. I'm proud of that." The group announced on Friday (01Feb08) that shows in China, Australia and Argentina would be scrapped.

Well ... Posh Spice has always been a show stopper. As far as the fashion designer career path.. Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise's protegee.. oops we meant wife.. has certainly benefitted from Victoria's advice... but ... perhaps Posh needs to focus on being on Mr. Blackwell's best dressed list rather than his worst dressed list.

It is no surprise that TV today is less than tantalizing thanks to the Writers' Guild strike. We wish we could say we sympathize more with them... with all of their separate deals and the whole Jimmy Hoffa-ness of it all... and now with no Golden Globes...what will we do for red carpet fashion directives?!! Let us just say.. a free agent situation would be greatly appreciated. Even though the writers have carved an agreement with David Lettermen... we find Jay Leno to be more entertaining and deserving of our respect.

In the end, it is simply this... there is one episode left of Grey's Anatomy.. and we have not been very impressed with this season's plot lines...perhaps a flock of new non union writers might be refreshing.


Now for the Battles of Britney... It never ceases to amaze us.. how absolutely awful Lynne Spears is as a parent. Britney's parental units were planning to assure ratings for Dr. Phil's talk show and appear on an upcoming episode to discuss their "dirty laundry". Dr. Phil even showed up at Cedars-Sinai Medical center as Britney was checking out....per her family's request. Now the Spears family is pointing fingers to everyone including Dr. Phil for the train wreck known as the PR from Britney's breakdown... too bad they can't add themselves to the equation. Britney, poor thing, seems to have been raised by dignity challenged parents.

Let us just say... in this situation... a writer's strike is the best thing that could happen to this show. We certainly won't be watching it...



OOOh! One more note: Congrats to the newest Hottie Mommy to be Nicole Kidman! The preganacy is confirmed with a rumored arrival date sometime in July.
We do love her. We hope that she and hubbie Keith Urban have a healthy pregnancy and child!

We have to add one of the comments George Clooney made when he was asked about Nic's baby news: "At least she is older than 16."

Coco Scene! Isn't Life Posh?

Just a few notes from the recent Victoria Beckham Special... yes.. of course we watched! She is after all fab and outrageous.

How many times did she tell Becks "I love you"?!! Victoria, darling, appearing "desperate" is never stylish... every Coco Wife knows that "I love/adore you", is what your man should be saying to you...

When you are after all Posh and stylish - Becks should be the one making sure you aren't wandering..We didn't see a single bouquet of flowers or "I am thinking about you" gifts from said hubby. Poor Posh..

She looked adorable at the Luncheon with the Beverly Hills Socialites..




Wish we could say the same about the garish Socialites.. oh my,



Get thee to a make up counter at your local Neimans and fire that plastic surgeon... Pleez - fun need not be garish!

Posh's visit with Perez Hilton was amusing...do we really believe that Tom Cruise hasn't tried to convert the Becks? Pleez...look at poor Katie. We didn't see Katie on the show because Tom forbade the BFF's hanging together on camera!

We were surprised that she did not look into schools for her darling boys! Every Coco Mom knows that schools worth applying to, will be... selective. Even if you are Beckham.


All in all - Posh was completely trying to be over the top..major... ratings darling, ratings!

The pair, who have bonded over their love of fashion and motherhood, are planning to combine their skills and passions by designing their own range for children. Tom Cruise is NOT stalking anyone... lol

In what was probably a bid to save souls — or "thetans", as they are called in Scientology — Tom Cruise reportedly left 18 messages on the Beckham's phone in one hour.

"Victoria is sick and tired of Tom being on her back about Scientology," a source told Us Weekly.

In addition to dealing with Tom's constant begging to get her to join the church, Victoria has also reportedly had to cope with his wife Katie Holmes — who is using Posh as a shoulder to cry on.

"Katie has been crying over the phone," the source said. "She's frustrated. Tom is denying her every single thing."

"Once, Katie and Victoria talked on the phone for four hours," the insider added.

David and Victoria Beckham are moving to LA this year, and have formed a public friendship with the Holmes-Cruise clan.

But Tom's antics appear to be driving the couple mad.

"Victoria is an old-fashioned British woman who believes in God. She finds it quite rude that Tom is bugging her so much. Not too long ago, Tom left 18 messages in one hour to get them to join the church," a source told the magazine.

The source said the ex-Spice Girl, 32, told the Top Gun actor that enough is enough. "When she says no, she means no."

But Cruise's spokesperson says the allegations aren't true. "This is completely false. Tom does not and never has encouraged anyone to adopt Scientology."

Tom... Tom... Tom... dear. Of course, you have never tried to influence anyone into adopting Scientology... not Katie, or Nicole... no one...never...

Nicole was always able to pursue her Catholic religion of choice... just as Katie has the same choice...

Victoria Beckham To Adopt?

"Victoria Beckham probably feels lonely being the only female in the family and wants to have a little girl to put on make-up with.

Rumors say the star wants to adopt a girl.

The former Spice Girl, who already has three sons, is said to be desperate for a daughter and believes adopting a disadvantaged child would be the ideal solution.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "Victoria is desperate to have a daughter to be girlie with. She loves the idea of having a girl to dress up, play with and make the family less male-oriented. She's been spending time with Katie Holmes and seeing her little girl has

made Victoria really broody."

Posh Spice's friend J.Lo has reportedly told her about a Mexican organization which helps find homes for South American orphans.

If she and her husband David do adopt they will be the latest celebrities to open up their home to a disadvantaged child.

Madonna has temporary custody of a Malawi baby boy, while Angelina Jolie is planning to adopt for a third time.

Miss Beckham's spokesperson refused to confirm the reports.

She said, "Victoria and David respect people who do adopt but they're happy with their family at the moment." "

It's A Spice World - again?

LONDON, UK (Hollywood Today) 3/13/07 — "Many twenty-somethings will admit to an adolescent Spice Girls fixation but almost a decade later will those same fans buy tickets to see them live?

Apparently, Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller thinks so as he announced an upcoming six-month tour he has been trying to arrange for seven years.

“The Spice Girls will come back with a big bang. They will do a whirlwind tour for six months and then be gone again,” he said.

“Sporty Spice,” Melanie Chisholm, was the last spice girl holding out on the idea until yesterday. ”All of the girls are up for it. The reunion will definitely happen,” he said.

It was not immediately evident how member Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, will make time for a tour. She is contracted to NBC to produce a reality show about her move to Los Angeles this summer with soccer star husband David Beckham, also under contract, to the Los Angeles Galaxy team. The couple have four children as well.

Selling 53 million albums worldwide, the Spice Girls, made up of Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, and Emma Bunton were one of the most successful girl groups of all time. They also starred in the film “Spiceworld” which grossed $75 million worldwide."

Victoria Beckham blonde?

Glamour Goddess, Victoria (aka Posh Spice) Beckham, will be entertaining us all with her new reality tv show on NBC this summer. She has recently gone blonde and shorter with her hair. We admit that Posh is dripping with style... but any shorter on the hair... with that skeletal body... even in 4 inch stilettos.. she will be mistaken for a boy.

We are certain that her new show about the jump over the pond from London and LA will be tres Posh. Going blonde in honor of LA is fine, but looking healthy is far more flattering!
