Coco Scene! Matt Damon meets Arthur - very cute!

Superstar MATT DAMON will make a guest appearance as himself on animated U.S. T.V. show ARTHUR in September (07). In the episode, The Bourne Identity actor stops by Elwood City and chats to Arthur and his friends after they send him a script of their experiences he thinks will make a good television show. Damon's cameo appearance doubles as a promotion for his Project Greenlight screenwriting community, which strives to break budding writers in Hollywood.

We love it! Our little darlings won't be watching this episode alone. It's so nice to see an "A" list star have time for a bit of PBS Kids too!

This absolutely multiplies his hotness level.

Coco Scene! No Captain Kirk for Damon

"When asked if he had been approached to play Captain Kirk, Damon was quick to dismiss the speculation. "No, that was an Internet rumor," said Matt Damon However, that rumor had such traction, William Shatner was asked about his feelings on it, which gave Damon a boost. "I saw William Shatner commented on it which I thought was great. He said 'I think he would make a good Captain Kirk' which I thought was really cool." While Matt Damon may have wanted the role of Captain Kirk, and while William Shatner gave his endorsement to the Bourne Ultimatum star, it sounds like the production is headed in a different direction."

Pity... Matt Damon would have been a really sexy direction... Star Trek movie win for darling husbands and at least one shirtless scene of Matt Damon for us!

Jennifer Garner to be Mr. Spock's squeeze?

More buzz for Trekkie fans:

Rumor has it that Jennifer Garner will be playing Adrian Brody's (Mr. Spock's) love interest in upcoming Star Trek saga due out Christmas 2008.



We actually think Angelina Jolie would be a great Vulcan... she is definitely way "out there" enough. She and Adrian could make a good team ... as long as he is not in a committed relationship... he should be safe.

Jen Garner is cute... in a giggly girl way... we suppose. Maybe that is why she is not playing Kirk's (Matt Damon) S/O... you actually need to be "hot" to pull that off.



How about Katherine Heigl???

Star Trek XI will begin shooting this October, occupying five stages on the Paramount lot in Los Angeles. However, most of those stages will be used for alien locations and not for, say, Starfleet Academy classrooms. So, unlike early rumors, the plot will most likely revolve around Kirk and Spock's first mission together, instead of two hours worth of Academy shenanigans.

Boldly Going to a New Frontier?



From MTV Movies, Scott Weinberg reports about the making of a new "Star Trek". Normally, for Moms into the Coco Scene this would not be big news... however... the possible casting leads us to hope that shirts will fly off the men as they did in the original series...

The hearsay is that Matt Damon would be James T. Kirk - The Shat in his youth was quite something (in a very good way), and it is easy to imagine Matt (hottie!) Damon would be ... let us say.. a dream.

We know our spouses will want to see any action packed "Star Trek" that hits theaters... finally, something we Coco Scene Moms will want to see too!
